Deposit:

In order to hold space beyond option date, a non refundable deposit required by the due date as shown on your Travel the World invoice. Bookings made within 60 days of departure from Australia will require full payment upon confirmation. The deposit amount varies according to the type of tour and the destination, and includes a Travel the World administration fee of A$110 per person. Please contact Travel The World for the specific details. If a deposit (including any Guest Protection Plan if required) is not received at Travel the World’s office by the due time / date, the booking will automatically cancel. 

Finals:
Final payment is due at Travel the World’s office 70 days prior to the cruise/tour departure. If a booking is made within 70 days of departure then full payment will be due on confirmation.

Guest/Cruise Protection:
A non-refundable Guest/Cruise Protection (Cancellation Fee Waiver) reduces all cancellation charges implemented by Tauck World Discovery, provided that Tauck is notified up to one (1) day before the tour departs. Guest/Cruise Protection will vary based upon the applicable tour. The Guest/Cruise Protection must be requested from Travel the World and paid for at the time of deposit. Further details are available from the Tauck World Discovery brochures and website. Any amendments to the Guest Protection Plan need to be communicated to Travel the World via telephone or email correspondence. Notes on the booking form regarding the Guest/Cruise Protection will not be accepted.

Cancellations:
In the event of a cancellation Travel the World will deduct its A$110 per person administration paid with the deposit, from the final balance. In addition to this Tauck World Discovery will charge cancellation fees regardless of the reason for cancelling. Travel the World’s administration fee is charged regardless of whether or not Guest/Cruise Protection is purchased. Please refer to page 2 (two), or contact Travel the World to discuss the cancellation charges.

Please note: * For services included in your booking that are not provided by Tauck World Discovery, additional cancellation fees may be incurred.
*Travel Professionals may impose their own cancellation fees.

Amendments:
For any amendments to your travel arrangements after the due date for final payment, a fee may be charged per person. Amendment fees are not charged for upgrades, unless travel documents need to be reissued. All amendments need to be communicated to Travel the World via telephone or email correspondence and it is your responsibility to ensure the amendments have been made. Changes and modification requests to a booking (Name amendments, tour amendments etc) will not be accepted through a booking form.

Internal Air:
When applicable on-tour airfare is additional and is not included in the land price. This is a compulsory component of the tour. Please contact Travel the World if they do not appear on your invoice.

Documentation:
Documents are prepared in the USA and will be sent to you approximately 14 days prior to the tour. It is most important that all reservations be made in the full passport name of the passengers. If a name change is required after documents have been issued a fee may be charged for a reissue. Your departure date Ex Australia should be provided so documents can be issued in time. Booking forms should be returned with the deposit to avoid any delays with documentation. On occasions Electronfontic Documentation will be issued.

Passports & visas:
Passengers are required to hold reservations under their passport names. A passport valid for at least 6 months after completion of the tour is required. Tauck World Discovery’s policy on visas is that they DO NOT have a ‘blanket visa’ for passengers. Visas remain the responsibility of the Travel Agent and/or client. Please contact the appropriate consulates to ascertain visa requirements.

Payments:
All bookings are priced in US Dollars, and prices are per person. Travel the World transacts the initial deposit on an indicative rate of exchange. The entire gross amount is then finalised using the daily rate of exchange. To obtain this rate and an invoice reflecting this, please contact Travel the World. We will hold the rate for two business days only (public holidays excluded). For payments by cheque, please confirm with Travel the World.

Booking Forms:
It is a mandatory requirement of Tauck World Discovery that a booking form be fully completed and returned with the deposit. The booking form should have been sent with the initial Travel the World invoice. If you have not received, please contact Travel the World to obtain this form. Failure to return the booking form, may delay documentation. It is also crucial that Travel the World and Tauck World Discovery have accurate flight information otherwise services may not be able to be accommodated.

Itinerary:
Tauck pledges to make every effort to operate all tours as advertised. Travellers should be flexible as situations may arise that necessitate changes or exceptions to the itinerary. Tauck reserves the right to alter or curtail the itinerary and substitute hotels, sightseeing and/or conveyances as it is deemed necessary. Any savings realised by these changes will be refunded to guests. Any resultant expenses will be covered by Tauck.

Responsibility:
Travel the World accepts bookings subject to the following conditions:

Travel the World acts as the co-ordinator for all persons taking any service*, and in the making of arrangements for the service. Travel the World does not own, manage, control or operate any component of the delivery of services and all coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of the country where a service is provided.

Travel the World act only as an agent for the owners contractors and suppliers of services and assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage, property or for injury or illness or death, or for any damages or claims of damage to persons or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, wars & uprisings, or acts of God etc over which we have no control. Clients are strongly advised to insure adequately for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect of illness or injury, death, and loss of baggage and personal effects.

While Travel the World will use its best endeavours to facilitate services* to be performed as advertised, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary or advisable by Travel the World or the operator. Further, whilst Travel the World will take all reasonable steps to provide enjoyable services*, Travel the World accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever, and howsoever experienced by a passenger.

All matters relating to any service* provided by Travel the World are governed by the law of the state of New South Wales – Australia.

* Service/s refer to all accommodation & hotels or accommodation, cruises, flights, ground transportation / transfers, meals & beverages, shore excursions and tours.

Gratuities:
All appropriate gratuities for luggage handling, bellmen, doormen, dining room servers, local guides, staff, drivers, Tauck Directors/Tauck Cruise Directors (if applicable) are included. There are some exceptions on specific tours. Please contact Travel The World for specific details.

Cancellations:

Please refer to the below cancellation charges in addition to the cancellation information on page 1(one).

Please note – Airfares included with any of Tauck’s tour may be subject to different cancellation fees not outlined above.
In the event of an unforeseen circumstance beyond our control, Tauck reserves the right to amend the Guest or Cruise Protection and cancellation terms outlined herein.

Partial Room Cancellation:
A person who cancels or leaves a tour or cruise while a roommate remains constitutes a cancellation of one type of accommodation and rebooking of another. The price charged the remaining person is the new, higher price for the new accommodation.

Privacy Policy:

Information collected in the booking process will be treated in accordance with Travel the World's Privacy Policy.
