Our family recently booked a 7-night Alaska cruise a 4-day Denali Tour with Travel the World.  Our holiday started in Anchorage where we stayed at the Westmark Hotel.  The domed roof train, McKinley Explorer, allowed us to see plenty of scenery including a black bear with two cubs and a clear view of Mt McKinley.

We were very impressed with our travel arrangements whilst on tour. Our luggage for the cruise was picked up in Anchorage and transported to Seward and was awaiting our arrival in our stateroom.  Excellent!
Our luggage for our land tour was forwarded to our Denali accommodation which was the McKinley Lodge.  We found our units to be very comfortable with a shuttle bus to transport us around the resort, along with plenty of choices with a number of restaurants providing good affordable meals.

Our Tundra wilderness tour was very informative and allowed us to view many animals including Dall sheep, Caribou, birdlife, bears and mouse in their natural habitats.

From Denali we travelled by coach to Seward taking in the local attractions and stopping for a fabulous lunch at Wasilla.  Life on board our ship, ms Statendam, was very enjoyable, the food was plentiful and the menu varied. Service was exceptional and the meals where presented with minimal waiting times and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating.  Entertainment was to everyone's satisfaction providing stage shows, singing, a casino, bingo, games, netball courts, table tennis, a pool and hot tubs.

Our trip into Glacier Bay was very scenic with floating ice, snow capped mountains and the glacier itself.  Shore excursions offered by Holland America Line were very popular and we were pleased that we had booked before leaving home.  Our family enjoyed 2 float plane trips; one in Juneau and the other in Ketchikan as well as a boat ride into Misty Fjords.

Ports of call included Haines, Juneau and Ketchikan where we found we also had plenty of time to enjoy the local shopping.  I would not hesitate to travel with Holland America Line and use Travel the World as we were very impressed with the precision of the travel arrangements which enabled everyone to enjoy the experience.
