Shelley Martin – Sales Manager – Windstar Cruises

Shelley Martin brings more than two decades of experience in the travel and tourism industry to her role as Sales Manager for Windstar Cruises. Her journey began straight out of school in a small retail agency before advancing to a major travel services company and later transitioning into wholesale. Throughout her career, she has held various roles, including reservations and Sales Manager positions, gaining extensive industry knowledge and expertise.

Now, as Sales Manager for Windstar Cruises, Shelley combines her deep industry experience with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional travel experiences. Her values align perfectly with Windstar’s commitment to immersive cruising—where every journey is anything but ordinary.

Pam Nielsen

PAM NIELSEN – Sales Manager – Virgin Voyages

Pam spent 16 years in the New Zealand Travel & Tourism Industry based in Queenstown on the South Island before moving to Australia.

In June 2010, she jumped the ditch and joined Kirra Holidays as the Business Development Manager (BDM) for QLD & Northern NSW. When Anzcro acquired Kirra, she became the BDM for both companies. Her dedication earned her Best Representative in QLD twice.

New Zealand holds a special place in Pam’s heart. She favours snowboarding over beaches and has skied in NZ, the USA, and Europe.
In March 2018, Pam relocated to South Australia to join Journey Beyond (JB) in Adelaide, which then had 3 brands. Fast forward to January 2024, Pam is back living in QLD and has successfully brought 14 brands under the JB umbrella to the QLD market.

Pam is eager to delve into Virgin Voyages, her maiden cruising venture, and can’t wait to share her journey with you!

Rachel Javier Travel the World

RACHEL JAVIER – Sales Manager (VIC)

Rachel started in the travel industry in 1982 as a Junior Allotment Clerk for one of Australia’s top wholesalers.  For over 17 years she worked her way up through the ranks, from Reservations to Product, Operations and finally becoming State Manager.

Rachel has been fortunate enough to have worked for many of the major Australian wholesalers in addition to Qantas Airlines.  After an extended maternity leave, Rachel joined Travel the World – Australia’s leading Travel Service Provider – in October 2011 to continue sharing her passion for travel and she has never looked back.

Representing premium brands in the TTW portfolio, along with a key partnership with Ponant, Rachel’s love for her position as Sales Manager VIC/TAS/NT can be seen in her dedication to go above and beyond.  She takes pride in exceeding expectations and providing exceptional customer service by both educating and assisting Travel Advisors with their clients’ travel journeys.

With a career in travel spanning nearly two decades, Andressa brings a rare combination of global insight and commercial acumen to her role at Travel the World. Her passion for the industry began early, spending school holidays helping at her grandparents’ hotel, where she developed an enduring interest in travel. Since formally entering the industry in 2005, she has worked across Europe, Canada, and Latin America, gaining a deep understanding of diverse markets and building a strong network of industry connections. Having explored over 52 countries, she pairs first-hand destination knowledge with a proven track record in developing and managing partnerships and shaping commercial strategies.

As Sales Operations Manager, Andressa bridges strategy and execution, streamlining processes, optimising performance, and fostering strong collaborations with trade partners. She thrives on creating mutually beneficial opportunities, whether through co-operative marketing, joint commercial ventures, or strategic partnerships, always guided by market insights and data-led decision-making.

JANELLE LAMBY – Customer Operations Manager – Trade

With a career in travel spanning decades, Janelle has built a reputation for her deep knowledge, professionalism, and genuine passion for helping others explore the world. From the very beginning, she was drawn to the excitement of creating unforgettable journeys, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. Her career began with a boutique travel company specialising in select products and destinations, where her commitment and expertise quickly saw her progress into senior leadership roles, first as Operations Manager and then as National Sales Manager. These experiences not only sharpened her operational skills but also gave her a unique understanding of both the behind-the-scenes and client-facing sides of the travel industry.

For more than 12 years, she has been leading as Manager, guiding the team with integrity, vision, and a strong focus on client care. What inspires her most are the travellers themselves—clients who return with stories of remarkable adventures and cultural discoveries, often having explored even more corners of the globe than she has herself. Pamela Spencer Travel the World

PAMELA SPENCER – Manager – Groups & Charter

Born in Scotland, Pamela Spencer originally spent her time working in hospitality and completed travel within the hotel industry. It was only when Pamela moved to Australia in the late 1980’s that she became truly invested in travel. Working her way through all areas of the travel industry gave Pamela the valuable experience needed to decide that group travel was where her true passion lay.

Since 2004, Pamela has specialised in Groups & Charter for all types of travel including expedition, ocean cruising, river cruising, multigenerational and special interest groups as well as luxury tours for business and pleasure. During this time, Pamela also achieved certificates in sales and customer service as well as earning a degree in Ancient History, a CLIA Masters, and has travelled extensively with family and friends across the globe.

With such extensive experience organising extraordinary holidays, itineraries, and events for groups of all kinds, Travel the World cannot recommend anyone better than Pamela Spencer to plan your next adventure.

Jessica’s love for travel was first sparked while sailing on her very first cruise in 2011. At the time, she even considered becoming a crew member, but her strong ties to family and friends kept her onshore and instead inspired her to pursue a career in tourism. After completing her studies, she began her journey in the travel industry and has never looked back.

Over the years, Jessica has enjoyed many different holidays, yet cruising continues to hold a special place in her heart. Having experienced 13 cruises herself, she believes it is a style of travel that truly offers something for everyone, with endless opportunities to relax, explore, and enjoy life at sea.

Passionate about sharing her love for travel, Jessica finds great joy in helping others discover the world and create unforgettable memories through their own adventures.

WINGS WONG – Groups & Charters Consultant

Originally brought up in Hongkong, Wings moved to live in Sydney in 1994 where she completed her HSC and subsequently gained an advanced diploma of Tourism Management at TAFE. Prior to joining TTW, Wings held a position as a Retail travel agent gaining valuable experience in the travel industry.

Seeking a change to work in the growing cruise industry Wings joined TTW in 2011 to take up a position in the documentation department, working her way up to Sales Support where she became a Team Leader before joining the Groups & Charter department in 2014 where she remains today. Encouraged to learn everything about cruise Wings completed her CLIA accreditation and achieved the status of CLIA Masters Cruise Consultant in 2015.

While working with different cruise lines her passion for cruise has grown significantly and Wings has been lucky enough to have sailed on cruise ships of all shapes and sizes experiencing, ocean, expedition and river and visiting remote regions of the world only accessible by ships.

These travels make Wings the perfect person to assist agents in qualifying their clients to find a cruise suitable for the most discerning customer. When in port, Wings loves to discover what the towns and cities have to offer gaining knowledge along the way as she walks the city street visiting gallery’s and museums and experiences different cultures and customs
