Celebrate in paradise at Laucala Island

Fiji is renowned for its beautiful Fijian pearls and at Laucala, this treasure of the sea is the focus of the Fijian Wedding celebration, from the invitations which include a surprise Fijian Pearl to the beautiful flowers that are grown on the island and matched with subtle pearls throughout the bouquets.

Guests will receive their final surprise at the reception dinner where a hidden Fijian pearl will be presented in a white chocolate shell desert. This beautiful take-home reminder is the perfect end to a bespoke Fijian celebration.

Indian Inspirations Wedding Portrait
The traditional beginning of the Indian-inspired Fijian wedding is the procession, an ancient ceremony, heralding the arrival of the groom, often performed on horseback. Friends and family rejoice by dancing to Indian music celebrating the bride and groom and the marriage of two families.
Guests are greeted with traditional Saris, a gift which is individually created on the island and can be worn throughout the ceremony. Laucala also offers Mendi henna applications which can be customized for the bridal party and last for the duration of your stay.

Planning
For most couples the luxury of having your wedding or celebration at Laucala starts and ends with the ease of planning. From day one, Laucala will ensure your wedding planner addresses every detail until your departure from the Island. For all last minute concerns, each couple is offered a wedding concierge to address final details and wishes before the celebration commences.

Weddings Facts / Legal Requirements:
• Appointments with the notary to be made 2 weeks prior
• Birth certificates
• Divorce papers, if divorced. Death certificates if widow or widower
• Legal age for marriage in Fiji is 18 years
• Names of two witnesses, 21 years and over
• Single certificate if parties are not Fijian citizens
• Passport and valid VISA photocopy
• Police clearance from home country
