Windstar Crusies - Fine Yacht Cruise Dining

Windstar Cruises' recipe for incredible dining begins with the freshest ingredients which are purchased from the local markets, wherever possible.  Luscious ripe melons in the tropics and creamy goat cheese and sun-ripened tomatoes in the south of France.  Next, Windstar have recruited restauranteur Joachim Splichal of Patina in Los Angeles (named Restauranteur of the Year by Bon Appetit) and light-cuisine author Jeanne Jones to create imaginative recipes that are enhanced by our expert chefs.  An example;  tuna carpaccio with wasabi in a coriander-infused crust and lacy potato crisps.  Or maybe chilled beet soup, grilled leg of lamb and mango sorbet.  Bread is baked fresh daily and the selection ranges from flaky brioche to potato-sage rolls.  The perfect compliment to your meal could be a blockbuster merlot from the Napa Valley... all in a sophisticated restaurant, crisply nautical and not overblown or stuffy.

An integral part of Windstar Cruises' 'Casual Elegance' design is the 'Casual Elegance' attitude and what can be more casual than having no assigned seating in The Restaurant or Bistro?  Or how about the casual dress?  There's no need for formal wear here.  Windstar wants guests to feel like this is their ship, their yacht and the relaxed environment helps to inspire this attitude.

You don't have to leave your stateroom to dine if you do not wish, yet you will still receive the same level of service that you would in the dining room.  All Windstar cruises offer 24-hour complimentary room service and now when guests order dinner to their stateroom Windstar staff will serve it one course at a time.  Just another way Windstar are anticipating guests' luxurious desires in advance.
