Cruise Ship Guide

Overview

Yorktown Clipper is well equipped for a journey to the amazing wilderness of Alaska’s Inside Passage. With a draft of just eight feet, she was specifically designed for cruising in these coastal waters. Easy maneuverability enables exploration of secluded waterways the bigger ships can’t reach, which means access to more remote regions within this wildlife sanctuary.

A fleet of motorized landing craft can be launched in minutes for landings. Yorktown Clipper’s experienced crew, which includes destination experts such as naturalists
and historians, are always on the lookout for unique wildlife or scenery. Opportunities to view humpback whales, lumbering sea lions, reclusive black and brown bears or majestic American Bald Eagles are always spontaneous – and Clipper’s experts, along with your Tauck Directors, make every effort to ensure you experience them! Wildlife viewing is enhanced aboard the ship with its large teak sun deck, outdoor observation area, window-lined interior lounge, and picture windows in the spacious dining room . Small-ship cruising aboard Yorktown Clipper is the best way to get close to nature in the Inside Passage!
