Beauty Salon
Appointments for the full service Beauty Salons aboard the Mississippi Queen and American Queen may be made after you board.  It is open daily offering manicures and haircuts for women and men.  Check the Steamboatin' Times, your onboard newsletter, for hours and information.

Daily Newspaper
It’s called the “Steamboatin' Times”.  Placed in your stateroom each evening for the next day, it lists the day’s event and activities by location and time, plus provides interesting historic information about places you’re visiting or the region through which you’ll be steaming.

Laundry
Limited laundry facilities are available on the Mississippi Queen and American Queen.  Laundry soap is available in the Steamboatique Gift Shop.

Mail
Our steamboats are U. S. Postal Service Stations and postmark their own mail.  Please drop your mail at the collection point located at the Pursers Station.

Photographer
The professional photographers aboard the Mississippi Queen and American Queen take colour photographs of you and fellow passengers as you enjoy various activities.  You may order these photos throughout your Steamboating vacation.  They will be delivered to your stateroom, and charged to your onboard account

Gift Shops
Our onboard Gift Shops are bountiful with treasures to help you savour your steamboating vacation.  Show your Steamboating spirit in a sweater or jacket from our exclusively designed logo clothing collection. Take home a memory of steaming on the river from pins, plates and posters to cards, clocks and coasters.  Rent camcorders by the day to videotape your steamboating memories, and visit us daily to discover our “lucky stateroom number” and “deal o’ the day”.  Shop hours are listed in the Steamboating Information Packet in your stateroom.

ONBOARD ENTERTAINMENT
No Steamboating cruise would be complete without our award winning entertainment.  We’re proud that Conde Nast Traveller magazines “Gold List” ranked our steamboats entertainment the best of all the cruise lines in the world.  You’ll thrill to the rousing sounds of the calliope – the “mighty steam and iron piano” – as well as entertainment from ragtime and Dixieland Jazz to Broadway favourites and 1940’s memories.  Then, after each nights show, you can dance the night away to the swing music you love, a “moonlight serenade” on the river.

Each Steamboating day begins with a breakfast presentation by the Riverlorian, Majestic America Line's personal onboard historian and storyteller.  Along the way, the riverlorian will point out interesting sights and will teach you how to read river charts and navigational markings on the riverbanks.
