The spacious open-air lobby with towering posts of coconut wood on a cool honey-toned floor sectioned in smooth Javanese marble and volcanic stone, is designed after a wantilan, or village meeting place. Local teak and coconut wood are used throughout the 30 free-standing suites and the Amandari Villa.

True to local village design, the resort has river-stone walkways between the authentically charming thatched-roofed suites and each one is fronted with a Balinese-style gateway.
