Holland America Lines’ ms Nieuw Amsterdam  launched on 4 July in Venice Italy, Her Royal Highness, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands dedicated this spectacular new addition to the Holland America Line fleet. Australian Travel Agent Representatives onboard ms Nieuw Amsterdam

Holland America Line's top Australian agent representatives have truly maximised their experiences onboard the ms Nieuw Amsterdam, below Mike Wien (Director for International Sales Holland America Line) welcomes Colleen Dunn, Jan Harrington, Lisa Humphries, Patricia McAllister, Nigel Wallis, Sylvia Lestavel and Carmel Quain gather below the stunning new atrium sculpture of the Manhattern skyline.

What to expect in the Australian Spring onboard Nieuw Amsterdam

For guests sailing Nieuw Amsterdam on her Mediterranean sailings, or Caribbean itineraries this coming spring, they’ll find a blending of modern and historic stateroom ambiance and upscale interior design. The ship’s 60 deluxe verandah suites and 50 superior verandah suites will emphasise rich walnut wood and powder blue and champagne-colored fabrics, along with contemporary leather furniture and brushed nickel finishes. Deluxe verandah suites will display reproductions of original Matisse and Picasso drawings, along with colorful Tuscany landscapes created from original woodcuts.

New public areas are highlighted by Silk Den, a serene 52-seat lounge on Observation Deck, featuring sweeping views of the ocean. Immediately adjacent is Tamarind, our Pan Asian restaurant, which also features expansive sea views.

If your guests prefer their own private outdoor haven, they may visit the Observation Deck Cabana Club, a private, outdoor oasis located high above the lower decks. The airy, tented Cabanas can be rented by the day or for an entire voyage.Nieuw Amsterdam also offers a second collection of Cabanas lining the mid-ship Lido pool area. Equipped with luxurious chaises, ottomans and upholstered settees, the Cabanas feature bathrobes and plush towels, refreshments ranging from iced fruit skewers and frozen grapes to chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne, and iPods® uploaded with a choice of music.
