Answers
1.
Are there laundry facilities on board?
There is no public laundry onboard Windstar ships. They offer a laundry service (no Dry Cleaning), where your garments are collected by your room steward, and returned to you washed and pressed. You can purchase unlimited laundry packages or pay on a per garment basis.

2.
Do you have luggage restrictions?
All checked luggage must be tagged with your name, address and phone number. Also attach one of the ship's baggage tags (included with your cruise documents) to each piece of luggage, including carry-on bags and mark your name and cabin number clearly. Windstar will carry as baggage only your personal effects for your wearing, comfort, or convenience during your travel with Windstar. Your baggage needs to be placed in securely constructed and locked suitcases or trunks.

4.
My group wants to dine together. What are the dining options and their capacities?
There are no set dining arrangements onboard Windstar ships, and your group will not have allocated seating. All ships in the fleet have The Restaurant as the main dining venue and Candles as an alternate al fresco dining option. Breakfast and lunch are served on The Verandah, with afternoon tea served on the pool deck on Wind Spirit and Wind Star and in the Compass Rose on the Wind Surf. The Wind Surf has two additional dining options – the reservations only Degrees restaurant and the al fresco Le Marche.

Children, especially toddlers, are not encouraged aboard Windstar. 7.
What facilities are available for those with disabilities?
Whilst Windstar seek to accommodate the needs of persons with disability, there are no elevators on the Wind Star and Wind Spirit, nor were the ships originally constructed to be wheelchair accessible. As a result these two ships may be unsuitable for people who rely solely on wheelchairs for transportation. The Wind Surf does have elevators, but the staterooms are not wheelchair accessible. Additionally, there is no elevator access to the ship, and in ports where the ship is required to anchor, guests must be ferried into the port.
Service animals are permitted on board ships if prior arrangements have been made. It is essential that Windstar Cruises is notified of any special medical, physical or other requirements you may have at time of booking.

What is the dress code onboard the ship?
The dress code for life onboard is “Casual Elegance”. This suggests that you dress in a stylish, yet comfortable manner as you would dress at an elegant resort. The most appropriate clothing is both light and cool, made of natural fabrics like cotton, silk and linen. For women’s daytime wear it is suggested walking shorts, skirts, sarongs, lightweight tops and cover-ups, with evening wear consisting of sun dresses, pants and informal cocktail attire.
For men’s daytime wear it is suggested that you wear walking/Bermuda shorts, polo shirts, khaki pants, with lightweight trousers and a casual shirt/polo top for the evening. Suits and ties are not required. If your cruise takes you to Monte Carlo, please be aware that most casinos require men to wear both a tie and a jacket.
