We would like to thank the staff of Travel the World for the wonderful trip they organized for us. Everything went very smoothly from the time we left Sydney until we returned 29 days later.

We arrived at the Hilton Village in Honolulu, and were blown away with the room, the courtesy of the staff, and the general village atmosphere. We did the best of Honolulu excursion, and were shown the major attractions of this very pretty island. We walked the golden sands, sipped Mai Tai's in the bar, and generally had a wonderful time. From there we were transferred to another world (namely the Carnival Spirit), and again our stateroom was above expectations. The balcony was an added bonus. We cruised around the Hawaiian Islands, and did various excursions including a Luau and the botanical gardens. This was followed by about 5 days at sea to which we were pampered, exceptionally well fed and generally treated like royalty. The crew and staff on the ship were very attentive, and at one's beck and call.

We landed at Vancouver and were transferred effortlessly to a waiting coach to be taken to Whistler. Again the Hilton Hotel surpassed our expectations. Whistler was very picturesque with a fair amount of snow still lying around. From Whistler we were driven to Vancouver for a few nights. The hotel staff and room in Vancouver was great and so was the hop on hop off trolley buses around the town. After Vancouver it was on to Seattle. This is a very interesting city and we thoroughly enjoyed touring the underground city as well as the markets.

Back to our luxury home (the Carnival Spirit) for the Alaskan part of the trip. Now this was definitely entering a different world. Again we had a balcony and we stayed most of the day in our cabin while the ship travelled up the Tracy Arm Fiord. We ordered room service and wine for lunch so that we did not miss any of the scenery passing our balcony. As we are both eager photographers and videographers, this seemed to be the best option. On to Skagway, and an excursion in the train to Frazer. We then visited Juneau and the excursion was Glacial gardens which had upside down tree gardens (that was different). The last port of call was Ketchikan where we partook in a 75 minute flight of the Misty Fiords. This was truly brilliant, and the scenery was breathtaking.

We were seated at table 380 and made lasting friends with the other 3 Australian couples who were seated with us. So much so that we requested the same table, waiters, and fellow diners for the Alaskan part of the voyage. The crew of the Spirit arranged this for us with no hassles.

All in all we feel like we have just experienced the trip of a lifetime, and the staff at Travel the World made it happen for us. Thank you all very much for the effort you made on our behalf
