Tauck River Cruising & Travel the World - Terms & Conditions

Deposit:

In order to hold space beyond the option date the following deposits are required:

Europe/China cruises/journeys - US$ 600 per person
Egypt cruises - US$ 700 per person
Tour Extensions - US$ 200
The above amounts include a non-refundable AU$110 Travel the World Administration Fee which will be deducted from your final balance.  If we do not receive your deposit by the due date the booking will automatically cancel.

Finals:

Final payment is due at Travel the World’s office 70 days prior to departure from Australia.  If a booking is made within 70 days of departure, full payment will be due on confirmation.

Internal Air:

On-tour airfare is additional and is not included in the land price.  These flights must be purchased through Tauck World Discovery.  Please contact our Reservations Department if they do not appear on your invoice.

Cancellations:

Once a deposit has been received all cancellations are subject to a Travel the World Administration fee of AU$110 per person.  In addition the following Tauck River Cruising penalties will apply:
Guests choosing to purchase Tauck’s Cruise Protection:
60 days or more prior to departure - Loss of Cruise Protection
59 – 30 days prior to departure - Loss of 25% of the cruise cost plus the Cruise Protection
29 – 1 day prior to departure - Loss of 50% of the cruise cost plus the Cruise Protection

Documentation:

Cruise documents are prepared in the USA and will be sent to you approximately 14 days prior to departure of cruise.  Please provide your departure date Ex Australia so that documents can be issued in time.

Passport & Visas:

Passengers are required to hold reservations under their passport names.  A passport valid for at least six months after completion of the tour is required.  The Tauck policy on visas is that they DO NOT have a ‘blanket visa’ for passengers.  Visas remain the responsibility of the Travel Agent.  Please contact the appropriate consulates to ascertain visa requirements.

Booking Forms:

A completed Booking Form must be returned to Travel the World no later than the final payment due date.  This information is required by Tauck World Discovery and may delay the dispatch of documentation if not received.  A copy of the booking form is faxed with your invoice.  Please contact Reservations if you did not receive one.

Responsibility:

Travel the World accepts bookings subject to the following conditions:

Travel the World acts as the co-ordinator for all persons taking any service* and in the making of arrangements for the service.  Travel the World does not own, manage, control or operate any component of the delivery of services and all coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of the country where a service is provided.

Travel the World acts only as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers of services and assume no responsibility for the loss of or damage to baggage, property or for injury or illness or death, or for any damages or claims of damage to persons or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, wars & uprisings or acts of God etc over which we have no control.  Clients are strongly advised to insure adequately for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect of illness, injury or death, or the loss of  baggage and personal effects.

While Travel the World will use its best endeavours to ensure services* are performed as advertised, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary or advisable by Travel the World or the operator.  Further, whilst Travel the World will take all reasonable steps to provide enjoyable services*, Travel the World accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever and howsoever experienced by a passenger.

All matters rising to any service* provided by Travel the World but not in respect of other things governed by the law of the state of New South Wales.  

* Service/s refer to all accommodation & hotels or accommodation, cruises, flights, ground transportation / transfers, meals & beverages, shore excursions and tours.
