Deposit

In order to hold space beyond option date, the full deposit amount must be received by Travel the World prior to the expiry date and time of the option as shown on your Travel the World invoice. The amount includes a Travel the World administration fee of A$110 per person. If a deposit is not received at Travel the World’s office by the due time / date, the booking will automatically cancel.

Finals

Final payment is due in Travel the World’s office 130 days prior to departure from Australia. If a booking is made within 130 days of departure then full payment will be due on confirmation. This does not apply to Early Booking Savings, please refer to the brochure for these due dates or check with Reservations.

Cancellations

Once a deposit has been received all cancellations are subject to a Travel the World Administration fee of A$110 per person. In addition the following Cruise West penalties apply:

For all Grand Titan Suites and Owner’s Suite cabins

  • 180 days or more prior to departure US$1000 per person, which can be used towards a future cruise
  • 179 – 120 days prior to departure full deposit (25% of fare)
  • 119 - 61 days prior to departure 50% of fare
  • 60 - 31 days prior to departure 75% of fare
  • 30 – 0 days prior to departure 100% of fare

All other cabin categories

  • 120 days or more prior to departure US$200 per person, which can be used towards a future cruise
  • 119 – 90 days prior to departure full deposit (20% of fare)
  • 89 - 61 days prior to departure 50% of fare
  • 60 - 31 days prior to departure 75% of fare
  • 30 – 0 days prior to departure 100% of fare

Please note: For services not provided by Cruise West, additional cancellation fees may be incurred. Travel Professionals may impose their own fees.

Amendments

An additional charge of A$100 per person will be assessed for changes to your travel arrangements, including name changes made within 60 days prior to departure or after the issuance of travel documents, which ever comes first.

Gratuities

Tipping is neither expected nor required for Cruise West Staff, on land or at sea. Recognition for exceptional service is discretionary and guests are welcome to tip individuals directly.

Dining

Breakfast and lunch are open seating during set hours. Dinner is served with open seating and at one designated time; this allows for friendly, casual dining. For all meals there will be options but realize that with fewer passengers, the ability to accommodate every need becomes difficult. That being said, Cruise West will try to make any accommodations as long as we are notified in advance.

Passports / Visas / Immunisations

Travel the World & Cruise West do not provide advice regarding passports and/or visas. However all guests are required to carry a passport usually valid for 6 months after disembarking the ship, and any necessary visas. Please contact your nearest consulate for the most up to date information regarding visas. As to immunisations, please check with a travel medicine specialist or local health department for specific recommendations and/or requirements. We recommend the use of www.smartraveller.gov.au for advice in these areas.

Booking Form

Travel the World must receive a completed booking form with passport particulars at least 50 days prior to departure. ID information not received at least 45 days prior will result in a A$45 per booking rush handling fee and /or delay in documentation.

Documentation

Cruise Documents are prepared in the USA and will be sent to you approximately 21 days prior to departure of cruise. It is most important that the reservation be made in the full passport name of the passengers. The cost of replacing documentation due to any changes to your travel arrangements or name changes is an additional fee between A$135 pp & A$440 pp. The charge for replacing lost or destroyed documents is A$65 per set.

Accommodation Confirmation

Cruises and cruise/land tours are sold on a space available basis. Cruise West will make every effort to provide accommodations in the cabin of your choice and/or the main hotel properties we use. If these are not available at the time you book with us, we will confirm you at an alternate property. You will know at time of documentation (approx. 4 (four) weeks prior to departure) what cabin and/or hotel you are confirmed in.

Shore Excursions

Shore excursions are available for you to book prior to departure online at https://excursions.cruisewest.com/ upon embarkation, there will also be further opportunities to book shore excursions, however, some of the more popular excursions may be sold out.

Responsibility

Travel the World accepts bookings subject to the following conditions –

Travel the World acts as the co-ordinator for all persons taking any service*, and in the making of arrangements for the service. Travel the World does not own, manage, control or operate any component of the delivery of services and all coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of the country where a service is provided.

Travel the World only as an agent for the owners contractors and suppliers of services and assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage, property or for injury or illness or death, or for any damages or claims of damage to persons or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, wars & uprisings, or acts of God etc over which we have no control. Clients are strongly advised to insure adequately for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect of illness or injury death baggage and personal effects.

While Travel the World will use its best endeavours to ensure services* are performed as advertised, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary or advisable by Travel the World or the operator. Further, whilst Travel the World will take all reasonable steps to provide enjoyable services*, Travel the World accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever, and howsoever experienced by a passenger. All matters rising to any service* provided by Travel the World but not in respect of other things governed by the law of the state of New South Wales.


* Service/s refer to all accommodation & hotels or accommodation, cruises, flights, ground transportation / transfers, meals & beverages, shore excursions and tours.
