Booking Conditions

Carnival Cruise Lines

Deposit :

In order to hold space beyond option date, the full deposit amount must be received by Travel the World prior to the expiry date and time of the option as shown on your Travel the World invoice. This amount includes a Travel the World Administration fee of A$110 per person which is deducted from the final balance. If we do not receive your deposit by the due date / time, the booking will automatically cancel. Early Saver fares require immediate deposit.

Finals:

Final Payment is due at Travel the World’s office 100 days prior to cruise departure date. If booking within 100 days of departure full payment will be required upon confirmation. If a payment due date and time falls outside of normal working hours (including NSW public holidays), then payment must be received by Travel The World by 4pm AEST on the last working day prior.

Cancellations:

Travel the World charge an administration fee of A$110 per person on all cancellations. This fee is paid with deposit and deducted from the final balance. In addition the following Carnival Cruise Line cancellation penalties apply ARE EFFECTIVE FROM 11 SEPTEMBER 2010.

* For Cruises to Nowhere, the cancellation charge is 25% of total fare.

Please note: For services not provided by Carnival Cruise Lines, additional cancellation fees may be incurred.
*Travel Professionals may impose their own cancellation fees.

Booking Amendments:

After a booking has been made, the following amendments will incur A$25 Travel The World administration fee per booking : all name spelling corrections, any change of stateroom category or fare code that results in a lower fare than previously booked, removal of accommodation or transfers outside of cruise line penalty period.An additional per person amendment fee will be charged by Carnival Cruise Lines if you request a change in your travel arrangements after the final payment due date.

An additional per person amendment fee may be charged by Carnival Cruise Lines if you request a waitlist. For some fare types amendments are not permitted. Amendment fees are not charged for stateroom upgrades, unless travel documents need to be reissued. Name changes or additions will be allowed at Carnival Cruise Line’s discretion and are subject to cancellation charges and rate increases

Early Saver Fares † :

Early saver fares are available on selected sailings and not combinable with any other offers. A non-refundable deposit is due immediately and name changes are not permitted. In the unlikely event guest need to make changes outside of standard cancellation fees, service fees will apply. Price protection is not available in the Australian market due to contractual agreements.

Dining:

Dining preferences must be requested at the time of booking. No requests are guaranteed. Carnival has introduced ‘Your Time’ dining on selected ships which allows you to dine in the main dining room between 5:45pm & 9:30pm. In most cases guests are seated within 20 minutes on a first come, first serve basis, depending on party size. On all ships, Carnival have 2 set dining times, these can also be requested instead of ‘Your Time’ dining (where applicable).
Early Seating 6:00pm Late Seating 8:15pm

For passengers in 2 or more cabins travelling together, it is recommended to select either Early or Late sitting to facilitate sitting as a group.

Minor Guests:

Guests under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian 25 years or older in the same stateroom. Infants must be at least six (6) months old (12 months old for Transatlantic & Hawaii cruises) on embarkation day to be eligible to travel.

Gratuities:

It is a requirement of Carnival Cruise Lines for gratuities to be pre paid for all international travellers. In this respect the applicable per person gratuity charge will be added to your invoice and converted to AUD for payment.

Documentation:

Cruise documents will be emailed within 30 days prior to departure of the cruise, as long as final payment has been received.

Fun Pass:

Carnival Cruise Lines are required to provide a final departure manifest to the US Department of Homeland Security. To comply, clients must register in advance by completing the Carnival Fun Pass. By completing the fun pass prior to departure this will also allow clients to ‘fast track’ through a documentation verification process at embarkation.  If pre/post cruise transfers are booked with Carnival Cruise Lines, please note that flight details have to be entered.  Complete your Carnival Fun Pass today.

Passports / Visas / Immunisations:

 Travel the World & Carnival Cruise Lines do not provide advice regarding passports and/or visas. However all guests are required to carry a passport usually valid for 6 months after the return flight home, and any necessary visas. Please contact your nearest consulate for the most up to date information regarding visas. As to immunisations, please check with a travel medicine specialist or local health department for specific recommendations and/or requirements.  We recommend the use of www.smartraveller.gov.au for advice in these areas.

Guarantee Staterooms:

When booking a GUARANTEED (TBA / GUAR) stateroom, guests are guaranteed a cabin available within the category booked. For example, passengers booking a guarantee ocean-view stateroom are guaranteed a cabin with an ocean view. The cabin may be located on any passenger deck of the ship, but you will be guaranteed AT LEAST the category for which you paid, or a higher category which could be on any passenger deck.  You will receive your cabin assignment when you check in for your cruise.  Please note that in the event of an upgrade, ocean-view cabins may be obstructed.

Travel the World accepts bookings subject to the following conditions: –

Travel the World acts as the co-ordinator for all persons taking any service*, and in the making of arrangements for the service. Travel the World does not own, manage, control or operate any component of the delivery of services and all coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of the country where a service is provided.

Travel the World act only as an agent for the owners contractors and suppliers of services and assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage, property or for injury or illness or death, or for any damages or claims of damage to persons or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, wars & uprisings, or acts of God etc over which we have no control. Clients are strongly advised to insure adequately for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect of illness or injury, death, and loss of baggage and personal effects.

While Travel the World will use its best endeavours to ensure services* are performed as advertised, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary or advisable by Travel the World or the operator. Further, whilst Travel the World will take all reasonable steps to provide enjoyable services*, Travel the World accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever, and howsoever experienced by a passenger.

All matters relating to any service* provided by Travel the World are governed by the law of the state of New South Wales - Australia.

* Service/s refer to all accommodation & hotels or accommodation, cruises, flights, ground transportation / transfers, meals & beverages, shore excursions and tours.

Information collected in the booking process will be treated in accordance with Travel the World's Privacy Policy.
